Unicoi Turnpike Trail and BMT Trail. Come walk some actual pieces of the famous Cherokee Trail of Tears of 200 years ago, then the other half is BMT Trail. 7 Miles.The trip includes CCC camp site and side trip to Buck Bald’s vista. Shuttle

Climb Standing Indian From The More Gentle North Side.  We will go up the Beech Gap Trail to Beech Gap , then go south on the AT to the summit of Standing Indian, then return on the Lower Ridge Trail.  Approx 10 miles.  Short shuttle required..

Miller Trek at Brasstown Valley Resort. This 6.5 mile loop is moderately difficult with an elevation change of 1400 feet and some rough, rocky footing. Counter- clockwise is easier and more scenic

Lake Winfield Scott over Blood Mountain to Wolfpen Gap via the Jarrard Gap, Freeman Loop, AT and Duncan Ridge Trails.  8.5 miles, 1500’ elevation gain, some rocky footing.  This hike has it all but the view is worth it!  Short shuttle.

Old Copper Road Trail at the Ocoee Whitewater Center. 5 miles out and back along the Ocoee River. Adventurous hikers can add the Rhododendron Trail  for an additional 2.5 miles.

Lake Winfield Scott-Jarrard Gap- Slaughter Gap loop. This is a pleasant 6 mile hike with moderate ascents and descents. ($5.00 or Golden Age Pass at Lake Winfield Scott).

Big Frog Wilderness Loop Hike. We will begin this hike at the Big Frog Trail parking area, located 3 miles up FS 45 from Thunder Rock Campground, and 1/2 mile west on FS 221. We will hike up the Big Frog Trail, come down Fork Ridge Trail, then return to the Big Frog Trail by way of the Rough Creek Trail. The total hike distance will be 8.4 miles and includes moderate to strenuous segments. There is on stream crossing of Rough Creek West Fork that is usually a rock hop, unless preceded by heavy rains.

Indian Grave Gap to Tray Mountain and back5 mile moderate hike on the AT to Tray Mt., the second highest point in GA.  The trail passes Indian Grave Gap (3113 ft), a fabulous hillside of galax, the “cheese factory” turnoff, a viewpoint just before Tray Mt. (4430 ft).

Standing Indian Area. Rock Gap to Albert Mountain on the AT.  Hike to Albert Mtn on the AT and return via Long Branch Trail.  Some of the best views in the area at the fire tower. Lunch on the summit.

Dicks Creek Gap north to Plum Orchard Gap Shelter, in and out on the AT. 9 miles. Moderate with some steep climbs.  Trail passes Dick’s Creek Gap 2675 ft, Cowart Gap 2920 ft, Buzzard Knob 3760 ft, and Plum Orchard Gap 3090 ft.
