 Bartram Trail  from Warwoman Dell (3 miles east of Clayton) to the viewing platform at Martin Creek Falls.  This scenic 4 mile ( ≈2:30 hrs) round trip also passes by Becky Creek  Falls.

Albert Mountain via Long Branch and AT trails.  10.6 miles.  New hike.  We will go 1.9 miles on the Long Branch Trail to Glassmine Gap, then 3.4 miles to Albert Mt. via the AT.  Return the way we came.

Chunky Gal Trail from Bob Allison Campground along scenic Tuni Creek  to the big buckeye tree and return.  4 miles ( 3:00 hrs) with 5 stream crossings (slippery footing) each way.  Hiking sticks required.

Summer Waterfalls Hike.  We’ll hike first to 250 ft. Dukes Creek Falls for an easy 2.2 miles. Then on to Raven Cliff Falls where we’ll have lunch at the base of the cliffs.  A total of 7.2 delightful miles.

The Miller Trek at Brasstown Valley Resort.  This 6.5 mile loop is moderately difficult with an elevation change of 1,400 feet and some rough, rocky footing. (3 hrs)

Standing Indian Area.  Deep Gap to Muskrat Shelter on the AT and return via “old” AT.  7 miles.  4 miles to the shelter on the AT. Rocky section uphill. Raven Rock Ridge for outstanding views.

Raven Cliffs Trail.  A scenic 5 mile round trip hike along a cascading mountain stream to towering cliffs with two waterfalls.  Some difficult footing due to erosion. (≈ 3:30 hrs)

Unicoi Gap to Tray Mountain on the AT with return on the Rocky Mountain Trail.  A 10.4 mile strenuous hike. Elevation gain is 2,400 ft. going and 900 ft. returning.  Nice view from Tray Mountain.

Brush Creek Trail near the Ocoee Whitewater Center.  7 miles, easy to moderate from Boyd Gap overlook with good views of the lake.  Short shuttle required.

Lake Winfield Scott-Jarrard Gap- Slaughter Gap loop.  Side trip to Blood Mt included.  This is a pleasant 7.4 mile hike with moderate ascents and descents. ($5.00 /$2.50 with Golden Age Pass)

Deep Gap (4,341 ft) to the top of Standing Indian Mountain (5,498 ft.) on the AT.  This is a 5 mile round trip hike in the Southern Nantahala Wilderness Area.

Tesnatee Gap to Levelland Mountain on the AT and return.  This 7.6 mile hike has spectacular views from Cowrock, Wolf Laurel Top, and Levelland Mountains.

Dukes Creek Falls and Smithgall Woods.   Hike 2.2 miles round trip to the 250 ft. falls, have lunch at Smithgall Woods and then hike the 1.5 mile Laurel Ridge Interpretive Trail and/or the .5 mile Wetland Loop Trail.

Jack Rabbit Trail at Jack Rabbit Campground.  A 2.4 mile, ( ≈ 1:30 hrs)  mile easy, scenic loop trail on Lake Chatuge in North Carolina.  Length of hike can be increased.

Jacks Gap to Brasstown Bald on the Jacks Knob and Summit Trail.  This 6 mile round trip hike climbs 1800 feet to the top of Georgia’s highest peak. (≈ 4:30 hrs )

Fires Creek.  From recreation area pass by Leatherwood Falls, then take Rim Access Trail for another 2 miles of steady ascent. Return down access trail and complete Leatherwood Falls loop for 5 miles.

Lake Winfield Scott over Blood Mountain to Wolfpen Gap. Via the Jarrard Gap, Freeman Loop, AT, and Duncan Ridge Trails.  8.5 miles with 1500 ft. elevation gain. Some rocky footing.  Shuttle required. ($ 5.00 or Golden Age Pass at Lake Winfield Scott)
